TamI was talking to a customer in the bank today who was
going to meet her first grandchild in America. I asked
what Kiwi icon she would be giving him and we both
decided a Buzzy Bee was perfect!.... Until a co-worker of
mine said she should take the Wonky Donkey! Having never
heard of it, I was intrigued. Funny thing was, the
customer (about 65 yo?) had heard the kids singing this
at Xmas. So, the customer left and when I finished work
I came home to ask my daughter about the song. She
didn't know it so we googled it. ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! We
love, love, love it! Can't sing it but as I will be
buying it soon (from your website?) it will haunt
forever. Great job Craig and although it will annoy the
crap out of me, I will go to bed with the honkey tonky
winky wonky donkey in my head.

Thanks so much. Great song and it WILL be a kiwi icon.
For sure.

I have to tell you what a blast my husband, grown
daughter, her husband, and their two girls ages 4 and 8,
had playing "Wonky Donkey" yesterday! I live
in California, and returned recently from a
business/pleasure trip to Bendigo, Victoria. I stopped
in a children's store and your book was highly
recommended by the shopkeeper. Am I ever glad he did!
Thank you for your childlike sense of fun.

I saw you thismorning at paper plus in Porirua, you were
amazing with the children who had gathered to watch you
sing. The children at Ascot Park kindergarten love The
Wonky Donkey book and song and we would love to have you
visit the kingergarte to sing for the children. It is
great to see a Kiwi guy entertaining children so lovingly
AliceThank you sooooo much for meeting and greeting little
Gilligan at Birchwood school he is such a fan we play the
wonkey Donkey at least once a day. We need more talented
humble entertainers like you.
JulieYAY!!! I was thrilled when my Miss 5 came home with a
notice saying you are playing at her school 9.30 Monday!
I'll be there as well, might have to bring along her book
for an autograph in it :)

Hi Craig, I'm a begining teacher and bought your Wonky
donkey book and CD, Mate an absolute masterpiece, great
to use for movement in the classroom, and oral languare
and also art for the children to design their own
versions of the Wonky Donkey. All in all a wonderful
teaching tool.

Keep it up Buddy.

Hi Craig
I bought your CD from Riccarton Market after hearing
the sandfly song and it is now my sons favourite
especially seeing his Mum slapping her own head! With a
12 week old baby and toddler to look after singing the
songs with my boys makes my day.

Thank you
craighe he. Like the song says, "it's not the word, but
the intent". I remembered yelling GI joe at some
army guys when I first saw them !!. Anyhoo, I'm glad you
enjoyed the music and thanks for your feedback ;0) !!
